JFrog, Mesosphere Partner to Help Enterprises Accelerate Software Delivery Cycles

Integration of JFrog Artifactory with Mesosphere’s DC/OS Lowers the Barriers to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

SNAPA, Calif. – swampUP – May 23, 2016 – Mesosphere, creators of the world’s first datacenter operating system, and JFrog announced today that JFrog Artifactory will become a standard universal artifact repository and container registry in Mesosphere’s DC/OS, the first open and comprehensive platform for building, running and scaling modern enterprise applications.

The integration of JFrog Artifactory, the industry’s only universal artifact repository manager, with Mesosphere Velocity, which supports continuous delivery on top of Mesosphere DC/OS, is designed to enable organizations to better manage and automate their Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and accelerate software delivery cycles.

JFrog Artifactory provides package hosting for all major programming languages, including Docker, allowing developers to easily build and store their applications in a local repository with minimal effort.

With JFrog Artifactory and Mesosphere Velocity both running on DC/OS, enterprises can have a complete continuous delivery solution – from building an application from source code, to building and hosting a container image, to deploying the container to a running cluster.

Some of the world’s top brands – including seven of the top 10 financial services companies, seven of the top 10 telcos, and eight of the top 10 internet and software companies – build their CI/CD pipelines on the JFrog platform, which provides the only way to automate end-to- end software delivery from developers all the way to consumers and devices.

Companies such as eBay, Samsung and Yelp rely on Mesosphere Velocity – which is architected around the open source Jenkins project, the world’s most popular continuous integration software – to provide scalable and reliable infrastructure for application lifecycle management.

Mesosphere Velocity is built on the Mesosphere DC/OS, which provides enterprises with a single platform for running everything that modern applications require – from Docker containers to big data systems – all on the same set of shared resources.

JFrog and Mesosphere will officially introduce the new offering at swampUP, JFrog’s annual user conference, taking place May 23-24 in Napa, Calif. Leading developers and DevOps engineers from around the world will gather at swampUP to exchange knowledge, new ideas and best practices around CI/CD. Mesosphere is a Blanc-level sponsor.

About Mesosphere
Mesosphere (Twitter: @Mesosphere) is leading the enterprise transformation toward distributed computing and modern applications with its Datacenter Operating System, and is the principal founding member of the DC/OS open source project. DC/OS is a production-proven datacenter-scale platform for container operations and simple installation of complex distributed systems – including HDFS, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Cassandra and more. Mesosphere was founded in 2013 by the architects of hyperscale infrastructures at Airbnb and Twitter, along with the co-creator of Apache Mesos. Backed by A Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Data Collective, Fuel Capital, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Triangle Peak Partners and Microsoft, Mesosphere is headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in New York and Hamburg, Germany.

In March, Mesosphere announced that it closed $73.5 million in a Series C funding round led by Hewlett Packard Enterprise, with Microsoft joining as a new strategic investor. The round brought Mesosphere’s total funding to date to nearly $126 million and supports the company’s accelerating growth as DC/OS becomes the de facto standard for enterprises operating containers and distributed systems in production.
