Overview

JFrog Distribution manages user authentication through a configured Artifactory instance, which is the Authentication Provider. This enables using the LDAP/Crowd or SAML corporate authentication facilities that Artifactory uses which, in turn, lets you import users and groups defined in the corresponding LDAP/Crowd or SAML authentication server.

Configuring an Authentication Provider

Your authentication provider is set up during the service registry under Mission Control managing services section.


Logging into Distribution

When logging into Distribution, you will be redirected to your authentication provider's login page via OAuth 2.0.

Resetting Authentication Provider Pairing

The activation process through JFrog Mission Control initializes a pairing between the Distribution service and the authentication provider.

To reset the authentication provider pairing, you'll need to delete the following file from the installed JFrog Distribution file structure:

/var/opt/jfrog/distribution/.platform/.delete_me_to_pair_artifactory.lock
