When an organization is faced with scaling its internal processes and practices all of the tools involved along the way need to fit that goal. Artifactory's support for various build and continuous integration systems, ease of configuration and administration, REST API and user-driven roadmap, is what made it a very compelling product for us at LinkedIn. It plays and integral part of the solution as the interface between different phases of the Software Development Lifecycle and organizational units.

Artifactory is designed to meet our demanding needs in the software development department. Built by developers for developers it provides us binary management with reliability and security. For me, it has the most important feature one can find in a tool - it simply works for us.

We have found that Artifactory is simple and powerful tool to manage and store our libraries. It helps us simplify the build process and allows us to easily distribute the development effort.

We have been using Artifactory in Thomson Reuters (ClearForest) for more than a year now. Previously, I had been using Nexus, but when I came to Thomson Reuters and started working on new CM infrastructures – I decided to switch to Artifactory. This was largely due to the rich feature set Artifactory had to offer. Another major difference was Artifactory's efficient checksum-based storage model for binaries. This really tipped the scales in my selection between the two products.

Our deployment process has been streamlined because of Artifactory. We now have a single source of truth. With Artifactory, if the bits are there, they're validated and ready to go, and this makes my life easier. We just upgraded to Pro and are starting to tackle even larger challenges. These are exciting times for our Build Engineers.

Our custom build/test/deploy applications rely heavily on Artifactory REST APIs. We also use. Artifactory is also used to house all the infrastructure artifacts such as deb/rpm's, tarballs, Vagrant configs and ISO's which are used in automated environment builds for CI pipeline and deployments. Artifactory has been invaluable tool for its dependency management and automated build/deploy to multiple data center and cloud environments.

Artifactory saves us lots of money by allowing us to consistently manage and control software dependencies. Long gone are the days where we would have a defect in production and we would need to spend hours to figure out what code it was built from and what code it's libraries were built from.

Artifactory enabled a centralized NuGet repository for build artifacts that was shared with other web deploy and services artifacts. This is not available in other artifact management tools and makes Artifactory a a first in the .NET space. Artifactory's NuGet integration allows for advanced dependency management for inter-project package dependencies. This allows our DevOps and development teams to share build artifacts, and ensure that the code developers were testing locally, was the same as in QA's preview, acceptance and production

Our company needed a standard way to deploy built artifacts for testing and to determine which products had been tested together for integrated releases. We also needed a place to store Nuget packages for internal shared code. Artifactory's support for our whole development ecosystem made it the perfect choice for us. We integrate Artifactory with Jenkins as part of a customized release management system including Python code that calls the REST API. We track artifacts across multiple repositories for artifacts

We use Artifactory for extensive replication of repositories from our HQ to remote sites. This enables us to move install packages around the world in a much more timely manner compared to using rsync or similar technology. By eliminating rsync, we drastically cut down bandwidth usage between sites and decrease the time taken for remote testers to get a build from 12+ hours down to under 90 minutes. The result is that our customers get our products much faster.
