Upgrade to version 5.4 fails for Standalone Service based installations

    Details

      Description

Upgrade to version 5.4 fails for Standalone Service based installations. Upgrade of other installation types like RPM are successful

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Upgrade a Standalone service based install to version 5.4 and you will see that Artifactory fails to startup as it cannot access the bundled Access server. Below is the error seen in the log

      2017-06-30 15:40:32,500 [art-init] [INFO ] (o.a.s.a.ArtifactoryAccessClientConfigStore:472) - Using Access Server URL: http://localhost:8081/access (bun
      dled) source: detected
      2017-06-30 15:40:32,528 [art-init] [INFO ] (o.a.s.a.AccessServiceImpl:233) - Waiting for access server...
2017-06-30 15:41:32,542 [art-init] [ERROR] (o.a.w.s.ArtifactoryContextConfigListener:97) - Application could not be initialized: Waiting for access serv
er to respond timed-out after 60000 milliseconds.

There are two workarounds for this issue:

      1. Add the following argument "-Djfrog.access.bundled=true" to java options in the "default" file under $ARTIFACTORY_HOME/etc/. Start the Artifactory instance now and it should be successful

      2. During the upgrade remove the existing "misc" folder from your Artifactory Home directory and replace it with the "misc" folder from the from the new 5.4 unzipped version. After this please run the installService.sh as root and then start Artifactory which should be successful
