      Description

Currently, the integrated local repo backup product feature is 'all or nothing', meaning you either a) specify a retention period (default is 168 hours or 7 days) and Artifactory takes takes a fresh, complete backup every time the retention period is reached, or, b) you click incremental and Artifactory will take a baseline backup and a daily (not sure is this is adjustable) incremental backup every day thereafter (FOREVER).  Both methods are disk space inefficient and require some level of admin oversight to maintain.

I am requesting that JFrog implement a third option (which is sort of a hybrid of the two current approached).  The feature would work like this: 1) baseline backup performed on day one; 2) incremental backups taken every day thereafter; 3) when the number of daily incremental backups taken equals the number specified as the 'retention period', a new baseline backup is taken and the cycle repeats.
