smart distribution is not working when bundles are stored in artifactory

When bundle is created with "store_at_source_artifactory": true
bundles are created and replicated from "release_bundles" repo, which is from type "generic".
On distribution, replicator will execute regular replication and not "smart copy". although the origin repo is maven type with maven layout.
