      Medium

      Description

Per http://docs.codehaus.org/display/JETTY/Temporary+Directories , I recommend distributing the Artifactory zip file with the "work" subdirectory already created (similar to "logs"). Here is why: With no "work" subdirectory present, Jetty creates a working directory for Artifactory in /tmp on Linux. However, some of the contents - in particular the "jsp" subdirectory - are apparently subject to deletion (by the OS?) after a few hours/days, even though Jetty is still running. This causes the web UI to get messed up because needed files are now missing. If the artifactory-x.y.z/work directory exists before Artifactory is launched, it will be used by Jetty and no unwanted deletions happen.
