      Description

In a case where many deletes are performed in a maven repository there is a huge performance loss in maven metadata calculation. Each delete will trigger a calculation process. Should find a way to make this more efficient such as a wait period or only calculating if the currently indexed latest version was the one deleted.

Also (see attachment) the root maven-metadata.xml contains the latest version but the maven client uses the latest tag from the maven-metadata.xml inside the snapshot folder. Perhaps this should be removed to lighten the calculation time.
