We recently upgraded to version 3.0.1 of Artifactory. I use Visual Studio 2012's NuGet package manager pointed at our Artifactory repo. Prior to the upgrade, I'm pretty certain I was able to do searches, from the NuGet package manager without matching case. After the upgrade, I thought that searching was broken, until someone pointed out that searches do work but are case sensitive.
Our Artifactory Admin wasn't able to find a setting indicating if searches should be performed in a case in/sensitive way.
Is this a change that was introduced? Intentionally or not.
Could support for case insensitve search be (re)added?

I'm able to work around this, because I know the case of the item I'm searching for, but for users that are browsing for packages by keyword it will be less fruitful to have to know the exact case of the package they are interested in.

I am using Artifactory 3.1.0 and the nuget searches are still case sensitive.

I'm using 3.0.4 and nuget searches are case insensitive. Did it get re-broken in v3.1.0?
To be clear, searches against Artifactory via the web interface are case sensitive in 3.0.4, but Nuget searches are insensitive.

Will a JFrog representative comment?

There was no change regarding NuGet searches case-sensitivity since this issue got resolved (3.0.3).
Artifactory searches (via the web UI) are indeed case sensitive but NuGet searches (VS, nuget.exe) are insensitive.
Perhaps you can provide a concrete example which doesn't work? (if you are using nuget.exe you can add -Verbosity detailed)
FYI, local repositories searches are insensitive but remote repositories rely on whatever the remote gives back (client request is sent as is to the remote).

The bug is that web searches for nuget stuff are case sensitive.

This is indeed not fixed yet, or at least configurable.

OK. It sounds like the NuGet fix is still in tact but that Jonas issue is with the Web searches against Artifactory directly. I would suggest track that as a new issue, since this issue was specifically about the searches from the nuget client via Nuget Package manager in Visual Studio.
I'd also appreciate the Web search being case insensitive, but it is different from this issue, which was a loss of functionality (i.e. searches were case insensitive from Nuget and then became sensitive until fixed per this issue).
Thanks for your response @Shay Yaakov.
